What is the validity of a multiple-entry visa?

A multiple-entry visa is valid for up to 12 months later on you can renew it.

US multiple visas can be valid for 1 month to 10 years of time and you can travel once twice or multiple times with the time limit given for the visas.

Could  I convert a single-entry visa to a multiple-entry visa?

Nope, you cannot convert a single-entry visa to a multiple-entry visa. You have to apply for a new multiple-entry visa if required. But you can convert a Schengen visa to a multiple entry visa with the required documents such as valid passports and other documents.

What are B1 and B2 visas?

The B1 visa is for business purposes and a B2 visa is for tourism or visiting family/ friends. If you visit the country once, you cannot return to the same country without applying for another visa. Multiple entry visas allow you to enter several countries with one visa whereas you cannot enter other countries with a single entry visa because you will get a visa for only one country so you cannot travel to other countries.

Eligibility criteria to apply for B1 and B2 visas.

  • The person who is willing to visit the United States[US] for business-related work or to find a job in the US is required to apply for a B2 visa. As of March 2023, you need B1 and B2 visas to attend the interview for a job.
  • The interview is required for the ages of 14 years to 79 years
  • There is no requirement for interviews for persons aged below 14 and aged above 80.
  • The B2 visa is mostly allowed for the spouse and children.
  • B1 and B2 visas are allowed together.
  • A B1 visa is applied for business purposes.
  • The US government does not need any sponsorship to apply for a visa if the person is financially stable for the process of a visa.
  • Generally, you should have the amount of $6000-$10,000 INR (4,96,565-8,27,607) in your bank. If you deposit the amount before the visa application it is not considered for the visa application.
  • The last 6 months’ transactions will be checked for visa application.

Documents required for the multiple visa application

  • Valid passport: you need a passport with six months of validity till the date of return.
  • Photograph: you need a recently clicked digital photograph that can meet the government requirements.
  • Previous data: you have to submit the documents of the last 5 trips [only if have visited for 5 times]
  • Financial condition: you have to show them you can meet the expenses that occur during the stay. And you have to show them the bank statement for 3 months and the assets you own.

  2. You are going to meet your family\ friends. then you have to have a strong connection between them.
  3. Whether you are going to complete your short-term studies

What to do after applying for the visa

  • You have to take the printout of the look document that you have given after the submission of the visa application
