This groundbreaking program facilitates visa applications electronically via designated Japan Visa Application Centers managed by VFS Global. Specifically designed for tourism, the Japan eVisa grants a single-entry short-term visa, permitting a stay of up to 90 days in Japan.

Both Indian citizens and foreign nationals residing in India are eligible, with a centralized application process managed by Visa Application Centers run by VFS Global, which helps streamline the procedure.

Step 5 : Present the issuance notice

  • When checking in at the airport, make sure you have your “visa issuance notice” ready to show on your device. Your travel agency will supply you with this document, which includes a two-dimensional barcode, either in printed or PDF form
  • Please use your device to scan the two-dimensional barcode and provide the required information to access the notice.
  • Tap the “Display” button to access the electronic “visa issuance notice.” Once displayed, a countdown timer will start at the top right corner, showing the validity period of the notice.
