Saudi Arabia has unveiled an educational visa initiative tailored for international students, with the goal of streamlining the application process for those interested in studying there. The “Study in Saudi Arabia” visa program, jointly launched by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offers a simplified visa issuance process via a specialized platform.

Saudi Arabia has introduced a new educational visa service for international students aspiring to pursue studies in the Middle Eastern country.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of Saudi Arabia jointly initiated the “Study in Saudi Arabia” visa program during the Human Capacity Initiative conference in Riyadh on February 29.

The visa will be granted via the “Study in Saudi Arabia” platform, which is tailored for international students aiming to pursue their education in Saudi universities. This platform not only facilitates the application process but also streamlines it for students.

The platform offers a wide range of educational options, catering to various academic interests and career aspirations, from brief courses to comprehensive academic programs.

It fosters collaboration within academia and culture, bolstering Saudi Arabia’s commitment to advancing the education sector and attracting talented individuals in alignment with the objectives set forth in Saudi Vision 2030.

Saudi Arabia has risen to become the fifth most sought-after destination for Indian students, attributed to various factors such as attractive scholarship opportunities and financial assistance available to international students.

Between 2017 and 2022, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) shared data indicating that more than 1.3 million Indian students pursued higher education abroad.
