Visa validity goes up to 90 days, and individuals stay for 30 days in Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Interior Affairs may approve an extension of Afghanistan tourist visas only once, with the approval of the Afghan Tourism Department. If you require a more extended stay beyond the validity of your visa, it’s essential to apply for an extension at least seven days before its expiration. If you fail to extend your visa, you’ll need to obtain an exit visa from the Ministry of Interior Affairs and pay a fine for the number of days you overstayed.

Visa upon arrival is to Indian businesspeople and investors. The visa upon arrival is only issued at Hamid Karzai Airport and is not accessible at other international airports within Afghanistan.
